Spotlight On Texture ~
This layered glaze application was designed to
highlight focal areas in the space, while adding
much needed color and interest to the stark white
walls. The treatment is soft and diffused, and
continues uninterrupted throughout the L-shaped
room, creating an airy, yet surprisingly cozy, retreat.
The resulting space feels warm and bright, despite
the shortage of natural light.
Other faux texture effects include faux-fabrics such as
leather, denim and linen, or faux-stone effects such
as granite, marble, slate, brick and stucco. Plank
boards and/or wood graining are also available.
Actual texture applications include Venetian plaster,
raised or relief patterns and impressions.

Painted texture effects, such as this “Suede” technique (detail view shown above) can seamlessly transform any ordinary wall surface, creating rich, tonal depth in an unlimited spectrum of color possibilities.
Strategic use of painted texture can elegantly unify the varying ceiling heights, different sizes & shapes of window & door openings, and other contrasting elements in the adjoining spaces of an open floor-plan.
Surface preparation and the amount of paint applied is the same as that for normal interior wall painting, leaving original wall surfaces and underlying texture treatments undamaged.
To cover, simply repaint!
